ClickySticky Doodle {App Review and Giveaway}

I'm excited to share ClickySticky Doodle (CS Doodle) with you today!

The Basics:
This is a Merge Mobile app, creators of the ClickySticky series and Storybook Maker!  It is SO affordable ($0.99). It is available for purchase/ download here

When you first open the app, you get this screen:

Click on any of the 7 choices of pictures (one on the next page, click the arrow), and you'll go to an empty scene page that looks like this:

From here, you can drag each picture from above to add it to the scene.  Once all of your pictures are added, click on the crayon box to add color.  Then this screen pulls up:

Click on a crayon to select that color.  Then you can color like you would on a paper. OR you can select the paint can, which will fill in the whole object for you. You can also select the image under the purple crayons/eraser with the tree on it.  It'll give you a pre-filled background.

Here's an example using the paint cans:

You can also see animation with the green "play"button in the lower right hand corner!

What you can target with this app:
-Narratives and retelling- create a story associated with the pictures!
-Vocabulary-vocabulary associated with the different scenes
-Articulation- have a word list for them to include in the story
-Syntax/Grammar-using correct grammar when telling the story
-Social skills- taking turns, creating a story together
-Following directions- have students follow your directions as to where to put things, what color, etc.
-Basic and Spatial concepts- target prepositions and other concepts such as "big versus small"

Why I love this app:
-You can target a lot with it (see above)
-Students have so much fun with it (both younger and older students)
-Students love telling stories, and this is a fun way to elicit them!

What I would like to see in future updates:
There is currently no way to save the creations within the app. In order to save the picture, you have to do a screenshot.  This works fine, but I would love to see an update with a way to save it within the app itself.

Merge Mobile is being SUPER generous and would like to give away THREE copies of ClickySticky Doodle to three lucky winners!  Winners will be chosen on Monday, June 17.   Enter the Rafflecopter below. Good luck!
