One- Year Blogging Anniversary/Birthday: Day 1

Tomorrow is my 1-year blogging anniversary/birthday!!! I cannot believe it has been ONE YEAR!! Whoa. Seriously, where did time go?? I have enjoyed writing, creating, reviewing, and playing.  I am so very thankful for each and every one of you readers. As a thank you, I'm throwing a little celebration for a few days!  I've got some great giveaways lined up for you all!  Stay tuned for more details soon.

For the first day of the fun, I wanted to start by celebrating with one of my blogging friends. Shannon at Speechy Musings just had her 1-year blogging anniversary this past week.  We thought we would combine forces and throw a giveaway together!  You could win TWO products (one from each of us).

I am giving away a copy of my Evidence-Based Practice binder!  Shannon is reviewing it on her blog today, so head on over there to take a closer look.   I am reviewing one of her newer products called Articulation Words by Theme!

This is a product you definitely don't want to miss.   Here she gives you suggestions for use of this packet:

Shannon has created lists of articulation words by themes and has separated them out by sound.

But she doesn't stop there!  For every theme, she has also created cards. These can be used in conjunction with the parent letter (below) or on their own as flashcards.  I'm picturing a binder ring with all of these cards on them...

She also provides a parent letter:

What I love about it:
-It's a super helpful.  If you plan your therapy around themes, then target words have been chosen for you!
-It's in black and white, which makes for easy printing.
-It includes a parent letter!
-It has a list of possible activities, which are A LOT.
-It will save you so much time.
-You can print the lists in 1/2 or 1/4 size and create a little flipbook for quick reference.

I could go on and on.

Do you want to win this product AND my EBP binder?  Enter the Rafflecopter below for a chance to win. The winner will be announced early next week.  Good luck!

  1. I would love to win because I know they would be a great addition to my speech room. I try to keep a whole bunch of reference materials on hand so I can answer questions from SLPs, administration, and teachers. I also like having lists (articulation, antonyms, figurative language, etc) to work from so I can easily do any lesson with out a lot of hassle.

  2. Anything that makes my life easier is awesome. The words by theme can be used for lots of different activities- writing vocabulary- categories - comparisons.... And articulation.

  5. These would be fabulous resources to have on hand. I work in themes and having a word list organized by theme would be great! The evidence based practice binder would also be an excellent resource to refer to when I have a new or challenging case.

  7. I actually just bought the Evidence-Based Practice binder and can't wait to start using it. I would love to win the Articulation by Theme packet because I feel like I do themes with my language students pretty well and the artic kids get kind of left out. This would be a huge help!

  8. I love this idea--I usually do a 'brainstorming' activity with students and this would really help for those days when I am just 'blocked' and cannot think of anything.

  9. Love to have a variety of artic materials as the same cards can get very boring for students at time!

  10. First of all, congratulations to both of you for your blog-a-versaries! You not only show great creativity in your materials, but you take the time to share your work and thoughts.
I would add these materials to our clinical library. I am a clinical supervisor at a university after being in the field over 25 years and I empathize with graduate coursework and clinic and trying to create materials, therapy procedures, and give an evidence-based rationale. Sure do with there were blogs, pinterest and TpT when I was a grad student!
