I feel like I'm behind a little bit, since a lot of bloggers have already done this!! At any rate, here is the new June SLP Link-Up. As always, if you want to participate, head on over here to find out the rules.
Jamming to....Little Big Town! I've been a country fan for a long time now, but haven't ever really listened to Little Big Town other than when they came on the radio. They performed "The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac at the CMT Awards this week, and I fell in love. The vocal talent and harmonies are pure perfection!
Unwinding...by running! My mom and I are running a half marathon in November, so training has begun. It might take a lot for me to go out and run, but once I'm doing it, I'm so happy. It is a great stress reliever! Definitely helps me unwind after a long day.
Needing...a personal assistant! The first week of school this semester about killed me, and this week coming up will be worse. They are throwing SO much on me right now. I would love a personal assistant to do the shopping, cooking, homework, etc. Pretty someone who would do everything for me that I don't want to do haha.
Excited about...being an SLP!! I'm so proud of the SLP community for raising OVER $14,000. We are so incredibly excited to have raised this money for Moore, OK! This is just one way that our community has come together. I'm also excited about [simply speech]'s new summer book club! What a fun way to "gather" as a group.
If you don't have a blog, I would still love for you to participate!! Just comment below with your responses! :)
I just swung by from the link up and ended up as your newest follower, Lucky #58! Super cute blog!

ReplyDeleteOh, How Pintearesting!
Thanks so much! I am busy, but I think I thrive when I'm busy. :)
DeleteI need a personal assistant too...and a housekeeper! I think it's just that time of year!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is that time of year. I hope the end of your school year went well!
DeleteI hear you on the personal assistant! One day at a time...you'll make it through the semester in no time and then it will be summer break!! Enjoy!

Schoolhouse Talk!
EXACTLY! I am SO looking forward to summer break, even if it is only a few weeks long.
DeleteI run a bit too! Not half-marathon distance, but 5ks are where I'm at now. My running friends want to stretch me to a 10k eventually. I think I might do an 8k in March next year (Shamrock Shuffle in Chicago). Where's your favorite place to run?

My favorite place is called Creve Coeur Lake. It's a beautiful lake in a Saint Louis suburb. I think of it as my oasis! :)
